Job Description

The role of the Social Media Manager will support the Head of Social Media to develop robust, integrated social media strategies that drive engagement and advocacy for Yas Island destination / assets and attractions, innovate and set world-class standards for social media marketing.

They will manage and support the creation of highly sharable content that is creative, engaging and on-brand to showcase Yas Island as the leaders in tourism industry (Making Yas Island Famous).

Working closely with T he Head of Social Media and all internal / external stakeholders to ensure that social media plans are effectively integrated with brand marketing and paid media efforts, leveraging any potential earned and owned media opportunities

To be considered for the role you must:

Social Media Management / Growth:

  • Support the Head of Social Media with development of the social media marketing strategy and efficient use of associated budget across campaigns and channels. Through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
  • Manage and develop the monthly content calendar calendars across each platform in collaboration with social media agency
  • Work with the Performance marketing team, develop an integrated Paid Social Media strategy with the objective of increasing brand awareness, engagement and conversion across all channels.
  • Work collaboratively across business units to develop and execute creative ideas, plans and strategies.
  • Develop partnerships and productive working relationships with social talent, publicists, agencies, internal stakeholders and other related stakeholders to build/leverage networking opportunities and integrate into strategic and tactical planning.
  • Provide inspirational and creative thought leadership on ways to reach and gain attention of target audiences.
  • Plan and manage campaign executions, on time, on budget, to scope.
  • Establish repeatable operational methodologies and mechanisms that enable frugal, fast and responsive content development and distribution.

Agency / Partner Management:

  • Support the Head of Social Media to manage the Social media agency relationship, ensuring that deadlines are adhered to and plans are developed in-line with campaign / channel objectives, targeting the right market and relevant consumer with maximum reach / frequency.
  • Be the day-to-day agency contact and develop all social media briefs, ensuring that the objectives of each marketing campaign is defined and supports the annual media / channel strategy.
  • Work with agencies, publishers, platforms (directly and indirectly) and other partners with the goal to find fast, creative and efficient ways to build, execute and measure innovative social media activity that connects with customers, maximizes engagement and create sharing, talk value and brand advocacy.
  • Best utilize social media management / listening tools to inform future social media content / strategic plans.

Essential:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing / digital / social marketing or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years in marketing/social and digital communications or related field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of social media and networking platforms and monitoring suits
  • Advance knowledge in managing social channels
  • Strong communication skills
  • Creative thinker with the ability to problem-solve
  • Must be able to prioritize a demand workload and tight timelines
  • Highly collaborative; skilled at working cross-functionally to drive results
  • Positive, self-motivated leader who can inspire others to rise to new challenges.
  • High energy and adaptable strategic thinker who can multi-task with attention to detail
