ABOUT ECPAT INTERNATIONAL

ECPAT International (ECPAT) is a global network of civil society organisations working collectively for the elimination of all forms of child sexual exploitation. It seeks to encourage the world community to ensure that children everywhere enjoy their fundamental rights free and secure from all forms of sexual exploitation. The ECPAT network currently consists of 124 member organisations in 103 countries. The ECPAT Secretariat coordinates the global work of ECPAT and has a central office in Bangkok, Thailand.

The ECPAT International internship programme is designed to provide an opportunity to eligible candidates to contribute to and learn about child protection issues, particularly child’s rights to live free of sexual exploitation of children. This specific internship offers the chance to significantly contribute to our digital content creation and design, learning about and aiding our mission.

PRIMARY TASKS

  1. Create engaging content for ECPAT’s social media platforms.
  2. Design impactful graphics and visual materials for digital campaigns.
  3. Manage and update social media accounts to boost our online presence.
  4. Collaborate with the communications team to enhance our digital strategy.

GENERAL BACKGROUND

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, design, human rights, social sciences, international affairs or political science
  • Creative flair in content creation and graphic design.
  • Proficiency in social media and digital marketing tools.
  • Detailed understanding of campaigning and communications.
  • Strong graphic design skills, including expertise in design software.
  • Interest in human rights and child protection.

Desirable

  • Acceptable level of knowledge of sexual exploitation of children.
  • Previous exposure to children’s rights or other social activities.
  • Previous engagement with local and grassroots civil society organisations and understanding of their operating context.

INTERN CONDITIONS

For this internship we are only seeking individuals who are either Thai nationals or international students attending a Thai higher education establishment who would already hold an existing visa

A stipend of THB 15,000 per month (around $440 USD) will be made available to the intern who is not sponsored by other organisations or institutions. All other costs related to the internship, i.e., general travel, gaining or renewing a passport, and other living costs in Bangkok, are to be borne by the intern or their sponsoring institution or organisation.

This will require all interns to supply a criminal record check based from the country of their citizenship and 2 references, one being from their university or sponsoring organisation.
