This post is for a Social Care Worker to work a Part Time dayshift rota pattern on a temp contract within Shellach View Children’s House to cover the permanent post holder’s Maternity Leave. A planned dayshift rota system is in place which involves with some weekend work.

At Shellach View we provide a warm and nurturing home for up to 6 children, teenagers and young adults.

We are seeking a person with good childcare experience preferably in a residential setting with the capability of centring on listening to children and young people and promoting their ability to flourish and thrive. You will be supported to connect and build unique relationships with children and young people in our care according to the needs of each child.

  • The salary shown is the full time equivalent salary, the actual salary will be paid pro rata for the hours worked.
  • The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013, as amended, applies to this post.
  • This post is exempt from the above Act.
  • This post requires Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) Membership in relation to working with both children and adults.
  • This is a temporary post which may be filled on a secondment basis by an employee wishing to gain experience/career development and will be at the discretion of the employee’s line manager.
