SNKE – Safety Culture Books for the age of 15-18

Project title: Technical Assistance for Strengthening Training and Research Capacity of the Centre for Labour and Social Training and Research (ÇASGEM)

Brief description of the project: The purpose of this three-year EU Technical Assistance Project for “Strengthening Training and Research Capacity of the Centre for Labour and Social Training and Research (ÇASGEM)” is to strengthen the institutional capacities of ÇASGEM, relevant stakeholders, social partners and NGOs through adapting training modules in occupational rehabilitation; delivering trainings for trainers; designing virtual training scenarios; carrying out awareness-raising activities; conducting researches; and organizing study visits, workshops and seminars in the field of occupational health and safety, especially in construction, mining, chemical and metal sectors.

Brief description of the assignment :

Working with Key Expert 2, the Team Leader and the Beneficiary in accordance with the tasks and duties set out above, Senior Non-Key Expert – Safety Culture Books for the age of 15-18- will be responsible for:

• Preparation and revision for the books for 15-18 ages: 2 books, each with about 90 pages;
• For vocational high schools: 1 book of 90 pages (should be integrated into the curriculum, at least, it should consist of sections covering machinery, electricity, electronics, industrial automation)
• For flat high schools: 1 book of 90 pages (should include topics such as lab, school at school)

He/she will work under the direct supervision of KE2 and the overall supervision of the Team Leader (KE1).

Duration of the assignment: 20 working days (01.05.2022 –30.06.2022)

Location: Ankara, Turkey

Requirements:

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher-level degree in one of the fields of engineering or OHS or educational science or social sciences, or pedagogical formation,
• Minimum ten years of professional experience,
• Excellent command of written and spoken Turkish,
• Good command of written and spoken English would be an asset.
• Good computer literacy,
• Experience in safety culture, child development, or the 0-6 / 6-15 age group will be an asset.

General professional experience

• At least 8 years of professional experience in OHS training or OHS related activities,
• Communication skills, and
• Ability to work in a team.

Specific professional experience

• Experience in safety culture or child/teenager development or 15+ age group will be an asset.
• Experience in written reporting or/and books will be an asset
