Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement reliable, scalable, and efficient systems, tools, and processes that ensure the availability and performance of our software products.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other issues that affect system reliability and performance.
  • Create and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems that provide visibility into the health and performance of our systems and applications.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management using tools like Ansible, and Kubernetes.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, backup systems, and other measures that ensure the availability and integrity of our data.
  • Conduct performance testing, capacity planning, and other activities that help us scale our systems to meet business demands.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve our systems, tools, and processes to ensure they meet our current and future needs.

Must Haves:

  • Previous experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or a similar role (minimum 4 years of experience). 
  • Strong knowledge of supporting applications running on Windows Servers. 
  • Strong knowledge of Windows systems administration, networking, and security. 
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Windows Batch or Power Shell. 
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server. 

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools eg Elastic Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, AWS Cloudwatch.
