CONTEXT

The Global Inclusive Health Direction works to promote SDG 3 “Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages” and particularly for persons with disabilities and vulnerable populations all along the various Nexus contexts. We focus on inclusive health system strengthening and inclusive health programming and work on the following sectors: Sexual and Reproductive health and Rights, Maternal, newborn and child health, Early Childhood Development, Mental Health and Psychosocial support, Non-communicable diseases, Emerging infectious diseases and Disability Inclusive Policies.

We work in close collaboration with the other technical directions, namely Rehabilitation, Protection, and Social & Inclusion, as well as with the 5 geographic directions.

HI is looking for a dynamic disability inclusive SRHR specialist motivated to provide technical support to the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights/Maternal Health project portfolio including the “Ensemble” project implemented in collaboration with CARE International in West Africa with the financial support of Global Affairs Canada, and the Women’s Integrated Sexual Health” (WISH2ACTION) project, the FCDO flagship SRHR programme aiming to transform the lives of millions of women and girls. Through a consortium of five internationally recognised organizations, WISH2ACTION programme provides a comprehensive, integrated approach to ensure equitable access to family planning and SRHR. The programme prioritizes the most underserved women and girls, particularly youth under 20, the very poor, and marginalized populations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Director of Global Inclusive Health Direction your main responsibilities are:

Responsibility 1: Technical Support: Provide technical support to ongoing SRHR/Maternal Health projects:

Responsibility 2: Definition of the SRHR/Maternal Health technical frame

Responsibility 3: Continuous learning and knowledge management. Work with the country teams to systematically document all processes, tools and lessons learned and liaise with other senior project staff in order to identify areas of improvement.

Responsibility 4: Networking and representation. Promote HI’s visibility, capacity and know-how in the field of inclusive SRHR.

Responsibility 5: Provide technical support for SRHR/Maternal Health business development opportunities

DESIRED PROFILE:

  • You hold a master in Public Health or other titles relevant to the position
  • You have a public health background with relevant experience in technical management of complex multi-partners, multi country projects
  • You are proficient in SRHR, Gender, Age and Disability Inclusion, and Human Rights Approach.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience on SRHR in low and middle income settings
  • You have excellent and proven familiarity with the SRHR/Maternal Health international context, with deep technical understanding of the main stakes of disability inclusion.
  • You have experience with implementation of complex, big financial volume ,multi-stakeholders projects
  • You are experienced in remote technical support
  • You speak English and French fluently. Spanish is optional
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You know how to adapt and being flexible working in a multicultural environment
