Service Support Worker – Support at Home – Hampshire

Contract type: Fixed term contact until March 2023

Hours per week: 21 hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10am – 6pm.

Salary: £17,464 – £18,379 depending on experience (pro rata £10,478 – £11,028)

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic person with great people skills to join our Independent Living team as a Service Support Worker. We employ hundreds of Service Support Workers who help people live a more comfortable, independent life. If you have a caring, patient, and helpful nature you could make a tangible difference to someone’s life. No professional experience? No problem. If you can make someone feel cared for and comfortable then you’d be a perfect fit for us.

You could be taking someone to a hospital appointment that they otherwise couldn’t get to or be picking up prescriptions and shopping. Our service support workers are a friendly face to someone who may be struggling to do things for themselves due to age, illness, or vulnerability. It’s not just a job, but an amazing way to give back to your community. The focus of this role will be supporting people returning home from the hospital after discharge.

Also, you’ll be: • IT literate • Able to complete online training • Full driving licence holder, with a licence which allows you to drive a manual transmission vehicle.

This role does not provide personal care or management of medication and we welcome applicants without care experience as full training is provided.
