National Trust
- Internal Applicants only
Our colleagues work for the National Trust in many locations and sometimes don’t have easy access to internal vacancy listings. Using the internet ensures we can reach as many of our colleagues as possible. We appreciate that this can be frustrating for external talent. Do note that some roles are released externally after an initial period of time.
As a Service Assistant you’ll work across visitor areas, helping different departments deliver high-quality customer service.
Salary: £10.50 per hour
Contract/duration: until November 5th 2024
Hours/working pattern/hours: Flexible working patterns needed. Some weeks will be 3 shifts per week and at busier times such as school holidays, 5 shifts per week will be needed. This will include working both days of the weekend.
What it’s like to work here
Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll be part of a team of 8 working at Glendurgan Garden.
What you’ll be doing
Service Assistants play an important role in supporting various property teams in greeting and helping our visitors. No two days are the same and you can expect to meet lots of different people and help in various visitor areas. You’ll be involved in different tasks. These could include proactively and positively greeting visitors on arrival, welcoming visitors in the carpark, restocking shelves in the bookshop, working alongside volunteers in the Fish Cellar and clearing tables in the café. Most importantly you’ll talk to visitors, answering any questions they have to make sure they can find everything they need for their visit. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service and a keen interest in learning about visitor operations.
