As a “Sensory & Product Experience Specialist” in the Nespresso Coffee Team you will generate and transform consumer product insights into unsurpassed preferred coffees and innovative coffee experiences.

Based in the Nespresso Coffee R&D facility in Romont FR, you will actively collaborate to our consumer centric approach for coffee and product experience development from ideation & brief to product launch & post launch. You will run your own studies, develop your competences, and contribute to the constant evolution and implementation of methodology. A Day in the Life of a Sensory & Product Experience Specialist

  • Propose and implement adequate methodologies to deliver in time and quality sensory & consumer insights for the coffee launch roadmap and product experience innovation.
  • Manage studies from start to finish including design, analysis, interpretation, documentation, and presentation to stakeholders.
  • Bring in sensory & product experience recommendation into product ideation together with coffee R&D, marketing, and innovation.
  • Build product experience knowledge and competitive intelligence with clear links to consumer trends and business figures to influence strategy.
  • Contribute to the team improvement in consumer product experience new methodologies and in-depth knowledge.
  • Connect with internal colleagues from CMI, CRM, Digital, Data Science to seek and transmit useful insights and data for our product experience developments.
  • Improve as a coffee expert, interested and curious about the world coffee, understanding the taste of coffee in relation to its making and to the consumer perception and liking.
  • Relay the voice of Nespresso values and principles in the Consumer Sensory Insight Networks

What Will Make You Successful

  • Three years or more experience in the field of sensory & consumer insights, consumer experience insights, CMI, CRM or equivalent, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science, psychology, marketing, market research or equivalent.
  • Collaborative, service-oriented and persuasive style.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and project management abilities
  • Dynamic with an entrepreneurial spirit, able to work on multi projects in parallel and to prioritize.
  • Proficient in one or more of the fields consumer product research qualitative and quantitative methodologies, digital and online approaches, data analysis and data visualization applications.
  • Fluent in English, fluency in French beneficial.
  • Experience in the coffee and beverage category a plus.
