Improbable

We’re leading the way in defining what the metaverse can be. This is where you get to explore interconnected, immersive, exciting worlds that have never been seen before and where you decide what the future looks like. Are you ready?

You will be part of the Metaverse Solutions group, the premier organisation for servicing and solving the problems of our metaverse. You will be working alongside experienced game developers familiar with all aspects of the game development lifecycle, including production, art, design, technology and operations. You will be working with notable names from the industry who are our partners and customers. As this is a growing area of Improbable, you will be directly involved in shaping both the technical and commercial direction of how metaverse experiences are developed and launched.

Your Opportunity

  • Being focused on managing projects from inception to delivery.
  • Excellent self-starter instincts and an ability to work with little to no oversight.
  • Have heavy involvement in the daily management and control of projects.
  • Manage project expectations and share information in a timely & concise manner.
  • Partner with the Directors and project team to create consistent, high quality deliverables that don’t block or reboot other departments, all within industry standard timelines.
  • Give constructive critique on the project processes for continuous project improvement.
  • Help recruit, interview, mentor and support other project managers, and where possible coach other functions on project management best practices.

Why You’re Made For This

  • Own the projects through the full lifecycle and be responsible for the management of project management ceremonies.
  • Be independent; define success metrics, secure resources, scope technical efforts, set project timelines, priorities, milestones, manage risks and drive delivery for the project you own.
  • Well versed and comfortable in presenting and escalating to senior management, customers and the wider organisation, as well as representing the status and progress of the project to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Partner with Directors and the project team to deliver complex / cross-functional services projects.
  • Have a solid understanding of the design approaches and industry technologies utilised in your team area, or where needed show a clear plan to gaining this understanding.
  • Deeply understand the business and technical requirements of the solutions being built and drive the right outcomes.
  • Understand the needs, growth plans and aspirations of staff working on the project and work with the Directors to ensure staff are set up for success and their development, in the context of the business’ requirements.
  • Experience in the Game Industry would be preferable, but is not essential.

Everyone brings different experiences, perspective, knowledge and skills that makes each one of us brilliant. You don’t have to meet all the requirements and experiences on this job advert to apply for and be successful in this role.
