JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
UK:
- Prepare UK corporate and Income tax returns across portfolio – preparation, coordination of advisors and compliance.
- Prepare VAT and CIS reporting across UK portfolio.
- Prepare taxation calculations for monthly management accounts and quarterly tax provisions.
European:
- Coordinate local compliance and taxation reporting throughout our European expansion, including Jersey and Luxembourg reporting.
- Identify efficient processes to support the taxation reporting function across our European growth including identifying and managing third party advisors.
Transaction:
- Provide taxation support throughout the transaction process across our UK/European expansion including (but not exclusive) coordination of tax due diligence, implementation of post-acquisition processes and on boarding, coordination of third-party advisors and assistance in structuring planning.
- Assist in the development and refinement of underwriting models and structuring planning.
Other:
- Ability to self-organize to manage multiple work streams.
- Assist on various projects and business growth as we move into new markets.
- Ability to review current processes for improvement and efficiency.
- Support/Back up other real estate accounting functions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Practical UK taxation experience.
- Public accounting experience is highly preferred.
- UK and other EU GAAP experience.
- European real estate taxation experience is preferred.
- Chartered Tax Advisor qualification preferred.
