JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

UK:

  • Prepare UK corporate and Income tax returns across portfolio – preparation, coordination of advisors and compliance.
  • Prepare VAT and CIS reporting across UK portfolio.
  • Prepare taxation calculations for monthly management accounts and quarterly tax provisions.

European:

  • Coordinate local compliance and taxation reporting throughout our European expansion, including Jersey and Luxembourg reporting.
  • Identify efficient processes to support the taxation reporting function across our European growth including identifying and managing third party advisors.

Transaction:

  • Provide taxation support throughout the transaction process across our UK/European expansion including (but not exclusive) coordination of tax due diligence, implementation of post-acquisition processes and on boarding, coordination of third-party advisors and assistance in structuring planning.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of underwriting models and structuring planning.

Other:

  • Ability to self-organize to manage multiple work streams.
  • Assist on various projects and business growth as we move into new markets.
  • Ability to review current processes for improvement and efficiency.
  • Support/Back up other real estate accounting functions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Practical UK taxation experience.
  • Public accounting experience is highly preferred.
  • UK and other EU GAAP experience.
  • European real estate taxation experience is preferred.
  • Chartered Tax Advisor qualification preferred.
