What It’s About

In this full time position you will be responsible for designing and building Partners Group’s data platform and architecture to monitor, analyze, report, and drive our sustainability strategy across our global sustainability platform. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establish a robust and comprehensive Sustainability Methodology & Analytics framework for Partners Group that aligns with regulatory and business requirements
  • Ensure a seamless integration with PG systems, including all the back-end data processes to ensure a comprehensive data dictionary, a strong controls adherence, and rigorous processes to allow for a PG wide efficient system
  • Contribute to a long-term strategic ESG & Sustainability goals and ambitions
  • Methodology Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation that specifies how to meet regulatory and business requirements (investments, fundraising) using PG’s systems and data landscape. This will involve building prototypes for operationalization, processes, database for sustainability reporting, and integration to the Group’s reporting platforms
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with various internal teams, including Investments, BUAP and Services, to ensure the successful implementation of Sustainability initiatives
  • Monitoring and Insights: Employ data science techniques to monitor and provide business-oriented insights. This information will be vital for proactive decision-making of PG’s investment portfolio and strategy development
  • Strategic Vision: Maintain a focus on devising long-term sustainability solutions, while prioritizing these over ad-hoc requests
  • Work with the Sustainability Investments Data Analyst to ensure efficient, regulatory adherent, and scalable data collection and analytics processes
  • Work with the Sustainability Investments team, Client Solutions, Product Management, Business Unit Applications Programs, etc to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and tailored solutions to platform wide issues/opportunities
  • Perform quantitative data analytics on sustainability related data at the asset, portfolio, fund, and global platform level to highlight key risk and opportunities from a financial perspective
  • Own the “Project Lead” role of the data platform for the 2024 PMO project which ensures a clear architecture and regulatory reporting compliance
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor analysts specializing in data science and sustainability regulations

What We Expect

For this challenging position we are seeking a candidate with a passion for data architecture, sustainability regulations, financial reporting, and responsible businesses. They should have a proven track-record of implementing data architecture improvement projects and possess strong influencing and analytical skills. The successful candidate should have the following profile:

  • Top academic credentials (Master/MBA/CFA preferred) in a data function and strong preference for legal experience
  • At least 8+ years of experience in driving data architecture and quantitative models in mid-sized businesses from an investment, corporate or consulting role ideally within the area of responsible business or sustainability
  • Deep expertise in data analytics, architecture, quantitative risk management etc with experience translating regulation requirements to a strategic plan that is put into action
  • Able to independently lead strategic discussions with internal teams, senior management, while being collaborative across the team to engage the other team members
  • Excellent analytical skills e.g. drawing insights and recommendations from data, integrating ESG factors into investment and business analysis and decisions
  • Familiarity with investment management and a genuine interest in private markets investments
  • An entrepreneurial and self-directed person, able to manage effectively and complete tasks in demanding timelines and with competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability and experience interacting with global senior level executives
  • Able to work collaboratively with sustainability team peers at all levels along with other stakeholder groups across PG
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English
  • International background, e.g. experience working in international and professional environment
