Senior Strategic Funding Advisor Location: London (hybrid role working between home and office) Hours: 35 hours per week – open to flexible working Contract type: Permanent Salary: £39,000 per annum (inclusive of Inner London weighting allowance if applicable)

It is a hugely exciting time to be joining the British Red Cross. We launched our ten-year organisational strategy in 2020 with a focus on disasters and emergencies, migration and displacement and health inequalities and launched our ambitious new fundraising strategy in 2021. In line with this, we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Strategic Funding Advisor to lead and drive income growth in line with our strategic goals.

Why this role matters

You’ll work in close collaboration with stakeholders across Fundraising and UK Programmes teams to create and deliver high quality and compelling fundraising resources and products that will enable fundraisers to raise income efficiently and successfully for our UK programmes.

The role might be for you if…

  • You’ve got a proven track record of delivering high quality and compelling fundraising materials for a range of donor audiences, including translating technical programme information into compelling supporter communications
  • You have excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate successfully with a range of stakeholders
  • You have good time management and organisational skills with the ability to work on several projects at any one time, including work / project involving multiple stakeholders
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

Meet the team

The Strategic Funding team is a critical function, acting as the interface between Fundraising and Programmes both in the UK and internationally. The team drives income growth in line with BRC’s goals and enables fundraising from institutions, corporates, trusts and foundations, major donors, regional (community fundraising) and supporter marketing and engagement (individual giving).
