Senior Software Engineer in Test, Core Platform (Ukraine)

About This Position

TuneIn’s Platform team build’s APIs that provide data to millions of users enjoying their favorite audio content across all kinds of devices every day. As a senior SET in our team, you will be in charge of developing component-level and integration tests that would ensure system stability, reliability and robustness and would serve as guard rails in our architecture’s evolution.

You’ll work with a team of outstanding engineers with different areas of expertise and a shared passion for staying agile, adopting great new technologies, embracing DevOps culture, and keeping on learning new things. Even though the team has some industry veterans with a decade+ of SQL experience, you’ll be the first one to join with the main focus on adapting and promoting best practices of DB operational excellence.

Our stack is 100% cloud-native in AWS with the DB layer consisting of several clusters of Aurora MySQL and DynamoDB; On the applications side, you’ll see primarily clients written in C# and Go and orchestrated by managed K8s clusters. Most of the infrastructure is described as code in Terraform.

What You’ll Do

• Expand existing suite of integration tests
• Develop container-level integration testing frameworks
• Help to define pre-production environments both locally and in AWS
• Integrate new patterns of test execution into CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems
• Collaborate with other engineers on expanding total test coverage

Who You Are

• 3+ years QA Automation experience
• Knowledgeable about databases, able to write SQL queries
• Understanding of the HTTP protocol and experience with web traffic inspection (via browser web inspector/developer tools, postman, Charles proxy, etc)
• Experience with scripting languages (bash, python, etc)
• Experience with unix command-line tools (curl, watch, grep, etc)
• Experience with build tools and/or CI tools
• Experience with AWS or another public cloud provider
• Experience .net tools and automation such as msbuild, nuget and powershell would be a plus
