More About the Role

Binary Defense is seeking a talented, high-energy, collaborative Scrum Master, reporting into the VP, who will be critical in implementing and continuously improving processes and practices of our Software Engineering teams. You are an expert facilitator who can lead a group session and are equally comfortable as a collaborator. You bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion to share it, balanced with a strong desire to learn from others. You enjoy being hands-on working directly with the delivery teams and will fill the role of a Scrum Master/Kanban Flow Master as we will implement a blend of Agile frameworks to support our business needs.

Our delivery cycles are highly variable – with some activities needing a rapid response and rollout to all customers within hours and others requiring deep research, planning, and validation over many weeks. The successful candidate for this role must have experience leading the implementation of processes that support transparency, predictability, flexibility, and high quality software releases with dynamic cadences. Your approach must be highly efficient and effective to ensure that your contribution provides maximum benefits with a focus on accelerating delivery. Finally, you must have a high degree of energy and passion for guiding teams through the initial adoption and continuous improvement of our process, practices, and software delivery.

As a remote-friendly team, we default to trust and expect the best from each other. We thrive when we cooperate with each other to deliver timely and effective work. We do our best to help everyone bring their whole selves to work, encourage diversity, and support family-friendliness and flexibility in our schedule.
