Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Regional Health Assessment Programme Coordinator and direct supervision of the Regional Informatics Officer and in close cooperation and liaison with Migration Health Informatics (MHI) team, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Data processing tasks including Quality over view for migration Health programmes in Jordan in particular and in the MENA Region in general.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the main USRAP, SIVs & V93 programs focal point for MHD MENA and India:
    a. Coordinate with RSC, IOM MHACs and non-IOM Panel Physicians, other missions in MENA to facilitate transmission and management of medical forms and provide information on case statuses
    b. Participate in weekly/monthly meetings as assigned.
    c. Guide and supervise the Regional Data Management Team to coordinate reviewing and verifying the finances and clearance of USRAP/V93/SIV invoices of non-IOM panel sites; confirming settlement of payments
  2. Support coordination of data collection, analysis, and reporting activities for all Migration Health Assessments related operations in MENA, including:
    a. Support standardizing and implementation of data entry software applications and protocols across the Region

Performing and reporting the regular analysis of key performance indicators, and various reports in the reporting tools (including but not limited to, MiMOSA, Power BI, etc.) pertaining to migrant flow, quality and risk management, service efficiency, and client satisfaction – including active monitoring of trends
    c. Creating evidence-based suggestions based on aggregated medical data for required actions.
    d. Participating in the development and update quality control mechanisms and reporting systems for the migration health assessment programs (HAP) in MHD MENA
    e. Suggesting improvements to strengthen internal control mechanisms; providing inputs for new procedures to complement and/or adapting existing instructions to achieve streamlining efficiencies.
    f. Contributing to the monitoring of health assessment operations in MENA. This may include assisting senior regional Migration Health Division (MHD) manager in planning and coordinating activities with IOM Operations and field staff, counterparts as well as IOM and non-IOM panel physicians.
    g. Ensuring the preparation and submission of monthly statistics on Health Assessments performed by IOM MHD MENA.
    h. Providing data processing technical support to the MHD locations in the Region as needs arise.
    i. Exercising and overseeing quality control and data cleaning activities to identify reliable information from the various MHD datasets.
    j. Reviewing regularly MHD forms and provide suggestions to facilitate adequate and correct recording of information.
  3. Supervise the Regional Data Management Team and train the Migration Health Processing staff in the Region as needed:
    a. MiMOSA & MiMOSA-IAP admin; provide user support and training for staff and non- IOM panel physicians in MHD MENA and India.
    b. Assigning various duties to the data processing team in the Regional Data management unit as well as actively participate in day-to-day scheduling.
    c. Developing standard entry on duty training and refresher trainings as necessary for migration health processing staff.
    d. Participate and liaise with MiMOSA web developers to review the functions and upgrades and provide feedback to improve system functionalities and end-user experience.
    e. Assist the Head of unit with technical inputs related to the data capturing and
    analysis.
  4. Participate in the development and up-to-dating MHD Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in relation to data management and reporting.
  5. Undertake travel duties, as required and in line with prevailing security restrictions, related to project implementation and staff training, and liaison with partners and the Sub-Offices, to support program implementation.
  6. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor’s degree in related Information Technology / Data Entry, Data Management education with four years of relevant professional experience Or; High School or Diploma degree in the above fields with Six years of relevant professional experience.
    • Certificate in IT/Data entry is an advantage.
    • With at least four years of working experience within data management;
    • Experience in managing large dynamic teams, with a customer service, IT or administrative background.
    • Previous working experience with NGOs or international organizations is an added advantage
    SKILLS
    • High computer literacy in Windows and MS Office is mandatory, knowledge of web page design would be an asset;
    • In-depth use of MS office applications, data collection and manipulation;
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, as well as previous secretarial and archival experience, an added advantage
    Languages:
    Fluency in English and Arabic oral & written is required.
