Senior React Software Engineer

Successfully collaborating with our client a rapidly expanding real estate market intelligence solution, which provides a suite of features and services for the professionals working in the field of real estate as well as their clients. As a complete workflow solution, the client allows real estate agents to grow their businesses by offering differentiated services to their clients more efficiently. They are built on a comprehensive database of real estate data constructed from myriad public and private sources. Together, the data provides a rich foundation for evaluating the market and helps professionals develop hyper-personalized, actionable insights for their clients in seconds.

The client is in the process of improving and expanding a brokerage platform they developed, and SoftServe will help them in this endeavor by providing experienced React developers to work with the platform’s frontend. The platform is a suite of different CRM tools related to real estate and includes such features as listing management, agent modules, analytics, etc. The client is looking for senior React engineers to take over and own the platform components implemented using React as well as some brokerage websites of theirs and some upcoming real estate agent websites.

Here is the overview of the customer’s current technical environment

• Applications backend is implemented on Ruby on Rails
• There is an extensive use of basic AWS offerings
• Backbone/Coffeescript app Front End is being migrated to React

YOU ARE

A senior Software Engineer specializing in React with the following background and skills

• BS or MS in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Past experience building complex software systems that have successfully been delivered to customers
• 5+ years of experience collaborating on software development projects
• Specialization in Javascript (ES6), HTML5, CSS, and extensive experience with React
• Appreciation for (and the ability to create) simple and beautiful UI
• Ability to start from first principles, experiment with new technologies, and have a passion for developing tool technology that is reliable and maintainable
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Upper-Intermediate English level for regular communication with the client

Additional bonus points for having any of the following experience

• Working in Backbone and/or Coffeescript (the client is migrating to React from this)
• GraphQL
• Large scale single-page web applications
• Engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity
• Developing serverless Next.js React applications
• AWS services include: EC2, RDS, CloudFront, ECR, S3, and Route53

YOU WANT TO WORK WITH

• A US-based client on developing new fast, stable, and effective client-facing features, interfaces, and more
• Developing frontend for an existing platform as well as existing and new websites related to real estate
• Building test frameworks that will help the client increase their ability to continuously release code
• Determining plans-of-attack on large projects
• Taking on the ownership of the components under development
• A range of AWS offerings (EC2, RDS, CloudFront, ECR, S3, and Route53)
