Drawing on over a century of crop nutrition experience, Yara established the Digital Farming unit – now Digital Ag Solutions (DAS) – 4 years ago to explore how technology could be used to impact farmer livelihoods and productivity. Today, DAS has built products for smallholder and professional farmers, retailers and other farming ecosystem stakeholders across Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and software development team to analyse product specs, develop test scenarios and execute to ensure quality of solutions
• Perform different types of functional and non-functional testing as needed in multiple cycles and report defects suitably
• Contribute to / build test automation frameworks, any required utilities or tools, automated test templates to enable test automation
• Create and maintain test artefacts like test strategy, plan, BDD acceptance tests, other verification test scenarios, scripts and any other deliverable necessary to achieve high level of quality
• Design, develop, execute and debug automated tests, create or modify CI/CD pipelines, analyse execution results for any failures
• Define, review, track and report quality assurance metrics
• Contribute to / establish, comply with and promote QA guidelines, best practices and standards
• Ensure QA goals and approach are well understood and ultimately secure buy-in from all relevant team members
• Train and mentor new team members in product, process and technology aspects

Profile

• Experience with at least two modern, large-scale mobile/web app testing/QA projects where scripting and automation was required.
• Experience and contribution in building or enhancing test automation frameworks, utilities or tools using open source or commercial tools or libraries is required
• Experience in / good exposure to all types of testing (functional and nonfunctional) and ability to communicate them is required.
• Good experience with at least one programming/scripting language with deep understanding of OOP concepts is required and good working knowledge of design principles, design patterns and data structures and algorithms is a plus
• Strong experience with at least one of the popular tools and frameworks for UI test automation, performance testing and API testing and experience in BDD frameworks like cucumber is required. It’s preferable to have experience in Appium and Cypress.
• Eligible for appropriate grades of seniority based on background experience and competence levels.
• Interest to make a difference through connecting with millions of users. Understanding of low LSM users, agriculture and mobile technologies.
