Here at Action for Humanity, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Programmes & Partnerships Officer to join our team based in Salford, Greater Manchester. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed-term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26k – £28k per annum.
As our Senior Programmes & Partnerships Officer, you will be required to collaborate with and support our country Offices, implementing partners, Programme managers, MEAL Department and Field Offices; assist the development of programme mobilisation and strategy.
You will also be required to develop new strategies for project development, (appropriate to the needs and context of the Charity’s mission) and allow for a responsive approach to proposal development.
With the expansion and setting up of our partner offices globally, the Senior Programmes & Partnerships Officer will be the liaison point from the Programmes department at headquarters in terms of providing support and addressing requests in a timely manner whilst ensuring quality.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Programmes & Partnerships Officer:**
- · Actively pursuing new partnerships and donors for increased funding
- · Maintaining constant information sharing and proactiveness with AFH partner offices.
- · Take an active role in continuous personal/professional/career development. (CPD)
- · Coordinating between programmes staff in the field as well at HQ.
- · High-quality concept notes and proposals received from COs and LPs (followed by critical review and constructive feedback)
- · Managing donor and partner offices relationships.
- · Facilitating all aspects of project management for assigned proposal efforts including initial research, review/analysis, template creation, task management, kick-off/status calls, scheduling, input review/consolidation and delivery.
- · Conducting Project Cycle management, including needs assessments, formulation of concept notes, proposals, and budget.
- · Maintaining the project tracker with accurate project and beneficiary data.

What we’re looking for in our Senior Programmes & Partnerships Officer:**
- · Degree in relevant field i.e., international development, disaster management, humanitarian & conflict response, geography or a related field
- · English Level 4 minimum
- · Track record of creating and establishing new partnerships and donor relations
- · Experience with project management frameworks and governance approaches
- · Third-party management in relation to key suppliers, sub-contractors & stakeholders.
- · Previous experience planning, organising, identifying obstacles and delegation
- · Delivering success through effective teamwork
- · Knowledge of donor regulations, policies and procedures
- · Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- · Excellent analytical and interpretive ability
- · Strong IT skills including Excel and Outlook
- · Strong written and spoken English
