Only 5 requirements for the chance to be selected:

  • A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline associated with agriculture and food security and a record of related research and publication in a developing region of the world.
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing and speaking. Proficiency in French reading, writing and speaking.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in managing research, including technical and financial aspects, monitoring and evaluation of research performance, and reporting and/or experience in leading and conducting research projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • A sound knowledge of gender transformative research and its contribution to food and nutritional security.
  • An in-dept understanding of the Canadian context and political priorities regarding international food and nutritional security and climate change.
