This is an exciting and demanding role for an outstanding individual with experience in managing and implementing development programs with a focus on child (domestic) workers’ rights, safer migration and anti-human trafficking programming.
The Senior Program Officer will be responsible in managing at least three program officers, ensuring smooth implementation of projects’ delivery and program quality, providing support with partners coordination and accompaniment, assisting the Country Representative with overall programmatic management, and be a focal person for research and technical assistance consultancies contracted by HQ in support of program work in Ethiopia.
The role also includes setting up projects, managing awards with local partners, monitoring partners’ performance, ensuring program quality and impact, conducting site visits, reviewing results of project progress, and convening meetings and events for partners, government officials, and other stakeholders.
The Senior Program Officer will be an employee of the Freedom Fund’s Addis Ababa office and will be provided a workspace to successfully carry out the deliverables listed below. This role will report directly to the Country Representative in Ethiopia.
