Here’s where you come in:

As the Senior Program Finance Officer, you will provide leadership on the financial systems and processes that support Fundraising and Funds Management for VisionFund. You will work closely with the North America Fundraising Manager, Regional Programme Funding Managers and report to the Global Programme Funding Director.

You will focus on ensuring that the processes in VisionFund for funding flow, financial reporting, tracking, financial management and donor compliance work effectively with a particular focus on institutional grants and philanthropic donations. You will be the key intersection point between the finance and fundraising teams and will be responsible for process improvement and ensuring that members of each team understand and implement key processes to ensure that donated funds are managed effectively.

You will also coach and support members of the finance team on the required donor requirements to support the management of financial reporting, tracking and funds flow of donated funds.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Social Sciences, International Development, International Relations or related field
  • Professional Accountancy Qualification
  • 5+ years relevant working experience
  • Experience providing grant accounting in a fundraising, development or corporate sales environment including budget monitoring
  • Experience of using a variety of information systems and consolidating financial data into user-friendly formats
  • English language fluency
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
