This position can be based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina or remotely.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Lead proposal budget development of bids at both small and supports large value bids.
- Develop budgets and budget narratives in response to funder requirements and in compliance with organizational policies
- Collect cost inputs from internal departments to ensure accuracy, allocability and allowability.
- Review funder solicitations and provide guidance to teams.
- Prepare questions to submit to funders if further clarification is needed.
- Communicate budget issues or concerns with solicitation requirements to internal stakeholders for timely discussion and appropriate mitigation.
- Complete contractual documentation during the final production stages of the proposal.
- Supports other Business Development data gathering and reporting efforts, as needed.
- Ensure all tools and internal information are updated.
- Identify tasks to build efficiencies in pricing process.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelors Degree in a related field.
- At least two years of related experience; four is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, building templates and using functions and formulas (sumifs, vlookups)
- Experience in budgeting proposals and/or projects
- Knowledge of USAID budget requirements and experience in developing USAID budgets (Contracts and COAGs)
- Knowledge of CDC budget requirements and experience in developing CDC budgets
- Experience with SharePoint, Adobe, TEAMS
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
