We do so by offering entrepreneurs direct access to a pool of committed professional volunteer mentors via an easy-to-use online community. The Position

The Senior Marketing Coordinator will be joining the MicroMentor Marketing team, supporting its mission to communicate the value that can be found as a member of the MicroMentor community for entrepreneurs and mentors worldwide.

The Senior Marketing Coordinator is a key contributor to the Marketing team. They will lead the creation and distribution of marketing content, from ideation to design to implementation. They will research and inform the MicroMentor Content Plan, ensuring all content is optimized and well organized by channel to support growth targets.

Essential Job Responsibilities

STRATEGY & PLANNING

  • Work closely with the Growth Marketing Manager to implement an integrated digital and offline marketing strategy.
  • Maintain and improve efficiency of content shared across various channels.
  • Develop and maintain a content plan for digital communication to MicroMentor’s community via digital channels.
  • Research and implement SEO-focused content best practices for our Blog and YouTube channel.
  • Make use of digital ad analysis tools to support progress against user acquisition indicators and gather insights that could prove useful for future strategies.
  • Forecast the market’s communication trends and tendencies in different regions, in order to focus marketing efforts where they are most needed.

CONTENT CREATION AND CHANNEL MANAGEMENT

  • Develop content for digital communication to MicroMentor’s community via email and other digital channels.
  • Produce and/or edit digital marketing content, including writing, copy editing, and repurposing existing content such as text ads, short and long form video scripts, blog articles, etc.
  • Organize and gather testimonials from global members in the MicroMentor community.
  • Post content and track performance across owned channels: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook,YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
  • Update and maintain the content calendar to ensure all communications are planned and published on time.

PROJECT AND TEAM PLANNING SUPPORT

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders responsible for the design and execution of content for different regions.
  • Support the content translation process with translation vendors.
  • Contribute to MicroMentor’s Annual Impact Report.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will have no supervisory responsibility.

Accountability

Reports Directly To: MicroMentor Growth Marketing Manager

Works Directly With: MicroMentor Marketing team, MicroMentor Community Engagement team, and MicroMentor end users

Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders

Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work. Minimum Qualifications & Transferable Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or writing or 3+ years of content development and marketing support with increasing responsibility
  • Strong writing and content development skills
  • Experience managing social media and creating social content on behalf of a brand
  • Strong familiarity with platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Proven ability to collect insights and stories from end users to develop content for marketing
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a significant plus
  • Samples of previous work are welcome in your application
