Reporting to the General Manager the job holder is responsible for leading and developing a world class Manufacturing and Packaging organization. The organization consists of manufacturing, primary packaging and secondary packaging of clinical trial materials. There is a patient waiting at the end of our supply chain making excellence in flawless operational execution and compliance with all applicable regulatory and quality standards essential.

Delivery of these objectives will be achieved through the leadership, coaching and development of the entire team enabling the introduction of state of the art working practices and innovative, value adding technologies. These activities will be carried out in accordance with current statutory, regulatory and company safety and quality standards.

Success in this role will be demonstrated through improving supply chain performance for our customers, our employees and ultimately the patients we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of Manufacturing & Packaging, and ensure everyone in the organization is aligned with all vital procedures.
  • Develop the short, medium and long term operational plan with a focus on customer need, quality requirements, flawless execution, technology and efficiency improvements
  • Lead, mentor and develop an effective and motivated team that delivers departmental and business

objectives through a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Prepare and manage the annual departmental budget, including headcount for the department
  • Implement and manage financial measures which ensure world class performance and enable profitable growth.
  • Take overall responsibility for developing and implementing world class working practices to deliver an excellent customer experience by ensuring we manufacture and pack our clients medicines on time, every time.
  • Demonstrate Role Model Leadership in line with the Role Model Leader Competencies
  • Undertake any duties on an ad-hoc basis as the need arises by your Line Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Degree Level or equivalent in subject.
  • Pharmaceutical or highly regulated environment
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve key outcomes and follow through to get things done and

deliver what is promised.

  • Extensive experience in execution oriented operational roles within manufacturing and packaging for clinical trial materials and/or commercial products.
  • Experience of managing budgets with the ability to plan and manage profitability.
  • Experience of organizational change within a regulated environment
  • Strong process improvement knowledge including Lean Manufacturing techniques and experience in implementing process improvement through problem solving
  • Ability to develop and lead teams through influencing, coaching and mentoring techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and good English speaking skills
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
