About the Unit

Yara aims to grow nature positive food future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees.

Drawing on over a century of crop nutrition experience, Yara established the Digital Ag Solutions (DAS) unit 4 years ago to explore how technology could be used to impact farmer livelihoods and productivity. Today, DAS has built products for smallholder and professional farmers, retailers and other farming ecosystem stakeholders across Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe. In the next phase central enablement platforms will be delivered for Regional Digital Teams to develop all end-to-end customer journeys from incubation, solution development to commercial scale up.

In Region Europe we are building a team of engineers, data scientists, researchers and designers to achieve Yara’s goal to responsibly feed the world and protect the planet. Join us in building new digital products and services to create value for stakeholders across the agricultural ecosystem in Europe. The role reports to VP Farming Solutions Europe Digital.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the wellbeing, safety of team operations and support of the people within the Europe YFSE Digital Team and any local hub team(s).
• Handle immediate and tactical requirements as needed, as well as identify any mid to long term needs of the team and hub operations in collaboration with the local businesses/offices.
• Manage budget planning and reporting to management
• Vendor management for all aspects of product and market development needs.
• Act as point of contact for the local Central or Shared Functions (HR, Recruitment, HESQ, Procurement, Finance, IT) and disciplines overlapping with the above-mentioned responsible areas. Providing end to end project management for operational projects affecting the team.
• Manage and drive the recruitment and build-up of new resource capabilities in YFSE Digital Europe Team
• Cooperate with HR in the strategic onboarding of new employees (Team Intros, DAS and Farming Solutions).
• Represent the team in front of external visitors and business partners.

Profile

• Previous experience overseeing a dynamic, complex environment of a quickly growing team or organisations.
• Ability to own the end to end resolution of items including report concisely, accurately and promptly on meetings and matters of relevance and escalating to get resolution if needed.
• Strong personal interest in the agriculture and technology space and an interest in learning and exploring new things.
• Strong focus on stakeholder management and collaboration across multiple internal and external teams
• Experience in budget management and planning
