Job Description Summary

The Operations Manager, Marketing and Communications is a new position charged with developing a plan and staffing model to manage and track all work taking place in the various areas of Marketing and Communications from planning, goal setting, implementation, and measurement. S/he should also create a recommendation on what aspects could be covered by existing staff. The goals for this position are to bring visibility to all the work across the various teams to allow leadership to prioritize and manage priority work. This position will be point on working with various areas to assign and manage resources. S/He should look to develop and implement standard work wherever possible as well as continuing to identify opportunities for cost and resource savings. This is a self-directed leadership role, responsible for the research, coordination, scheduling for internal and external audiences and follow-up with various parties to successfully determine and meet project deadlines. Must have the ability to lead, guide and influence others to consider a different point of view when considering solutions to projects or processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (Required)

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of Marketing and Communication services with concentration in Operations or Production Management
  • Experience managing other Managers/Supervisors, ability to delegate tasks to Managers/Supervisors
  • Familiarity with project management tools, such as WorkFront, preferred
  • Familiarity with lean principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Word

Kind And Length Of Experience

Minimum of seven to ten years’ experience as a traffic or production coordinator or operations manager in a corporate studio or agency preferred. Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously is essential. Must have the ability to prioritize work and balance resources and budgets. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, multi-task, set priorities and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment; the ability to follow-up and follow through.
