This role will help enable and guide this work across Meliore and its programmes, creating safe spaces for conversations, integrating JEDI into our policies, daily work and strategies, ensuring JEDI learning and development opportunities, and operating as the point person for JEDI alignment on internal and external objectives.

The Senior JEDI Lead will report to the People & Culture Director. You will work closely with all our teams – including leadership, operations, crosscutting, thematic and country communications teams – to integrate and facilitate JEDI in our daily internal ways of working in order to support and enable our outward facing strategic communications work.

This is a new position with scope to shape the role as Meliore expands its operations.

If this sounds like you, we’d love for you to apply.

How you’ll contribute

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders and JEDI champions, including convening our JEDI Working Group;
  • Provide guidance to our teams on how JEDI can be integrated into our daily work, in line with our strategic priorities;

  • Develop and build knowledge management of JEDI initiatives by partnering with our teams to develop and share case studies and best practices;
  • Build external relationships with partners and communities in the JEDI sector to continually gather best practices to enhance our internal JEDI offering;
  • Facilitate internal safe spaces for conversations, learnings and insights;
  • Work with the Learning & Development Manager to offer network-wide JEDI workshops and hold leadership accountable to apply JEDI principles into their workstreams;
  • Liaise between our teams and our global leadership and operations team on JEDI alignment and initiatives;
  • Partner with other leaders and subject matter experts to help embed inclusive practice into all aspects of the Meliore Foundation’s work
  • Host inductions for new joiners and existing colleagues on our JEDI offering.
  • Prepare and present quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports on JEDI initiatives to leadership.

Our ideal candidate has

  • Prior experience developing and delivering JEDI programming and workshops in a complex, international context.
  • Extensive experience with mainstreaming JEDI into organisational development and the empowerment of critical voices.
  • Excellent capacity building skills, with demonstrated experience in training, coaching and facilitating.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language; additional languages are an asset, particularly Spanish and French.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team committed to using initiative and sound judgement in the supervision and guidance of colleagues.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and negotiation skills, applied effectively in a fluid and complex international context.
  • A genuine interest in and passion for addressing climate change.
  • The disposition to work generously with colleagues in a high-trust global community of peers.
  • The versatile and adaptable skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment and work across time zones using tools such as Zoom, Slack and email (Google Workspace).
