POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Senior Information Officer on the Advising and Testing team provides support for EducationUSA and related advising services, standardized test administration services, report and proposal writing and submission, and marketing and sales efforts for testing services. S/he will handle communications timely and in a culturally sensitive manner and with an entrepreneurial mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work directly with advisers to ensure that advising services are implemented in accordance with Department of State requirements
• Conduct research for proposals, presentations, and other materials
• Write and edit proposals, reports, and business plans for clients, universities, businesses, and ministries, and others
• Design and write presentations for all testing and advising products and services
• Create and edit content for TOEIC USA, Testing, and U.S. Study Web pages
• Create e-marketing/social media promotional campaigns for specific country audiences
• Develop slide decks and presentations to promote testing sales and to provide instructions for students and parents
• Research competitor tests and products, locate new tests, conduct background research on potential clients and markets, and provide explanation of current product features
• Support planning and marketing for events such as the college fairs and outside exhibition opportunities
• Oversee/maintain updates of testing- and advising-related Facebook pages and other social media outlets
• Oversee authentication and accreditation programs
• Maintain, expand, and update department SharePoint sites and review all material and direct staff to appropriate content for their needs
• Assist with long-term business development plans for advising and testing
• Respond to requests and to leads for U.S. testing sales
• Research and recommend products and services for field office sales leads
• Maintain and develop up-to-date knowledge on product developments, processes, and advancements in remote proctoring to maintain a competitive edge in the testing industry
• Assist in all developments and processes related to remote proctoring procedures, including client communications, developing new processes as needed, training staff on remote proctoring procedures, and developing security enhancements.
• Represent Amideast at conferences and events.
• Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, or a related field
• Minimum five years’ professional work experience
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Experience in writing and editing proposals, reports, web and social media content, and/or newsletters
• Knowledge of U.S. higher education and standardized testing administration
• Experience creating PowerPoint slide decks
• Precise attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Outstanding research skills

Preferred
• Master’s degree
• Knowledge of or experience in international education and standardized testing
• Experience in marketing and knowledge of sales
• Knowledge of the Middle East and North Africa
• Experience in an international context
• Proficiency in Arabic and/or French

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent in this position will work in a professional office environment and will utilize the following equipment when working from the corporate office or remote home office (on a hybrid basis).

Up to 5% business travel may be needed to support the programs as needed.
