Senior Information Management Assistant (Protection Division)

Under general guidance of the Chief of Mission (CoM), the overall supervision of the Head of Erbil Office and the Head of Protection Division and under the direct supervision of the Protection Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following activities within the Protection Unit:

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

Support the development and maintain information and data management systems and processes for the Protection Division and collect, verify and enter protection data in English and Arabic, ensuring confidentiality and data protection principles are adhered to at all times;
Support in quantitative and qualitative data analysis for internal stakeholders based on collected Protection data, including cleaning data, translating data, and filtering data;
Support the preparation and submission of periodic project reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) as required on the implementation of protection activities;
Assist in the timely and effective implementivities of the Protection Division;
Guide and support Protection staff to use and update internal and external database structures as per unit needs, cross-check the entered information into the database, and notify the supervisor for any need of new information in the system based on the request by the field staff;
Support in preparing and developing analytical tools, statistics and reports on protection activities and data;
Design reports and other Protection products, including data visualizations and other data communication tools;
Assist in the daily planning, monitoring and evaluating of the administrative and operation activities of the Protection unit;
Regular liaison and coordination with internal and external stakeholders as required to facilitate the implementation of Protection activities;
Coordinate project activities on a daily basis, including: organization and preparation for project trainings and workshops; liaising with relevant stakeholders; providing administrative support.
Travel to other governorates to support protection activities as required;
Perform such other duties as may be assigned Education

University degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Computer Science or related filed from accredited academic institution with 4 years of relevant professional experience
Completed High School degree from accredited academic institution with 6 years relevant professional experience.

Experience
������

Experience in managing data collection, entry, and maintenance (Kobo experience preferred)
Experience in managing and developing databases
Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent drafting skills and experience with creating documents and data visualizations
Experience with setting up/maintaining knowledge management systems a distinct advantage
Ability to work across English and Arabic, and provide ad hoc translation support
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds
Familiarity with Protection progra meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Familiarity with the UN common system is an advantage.
Previous work experience in an international organization in Iraq is an advantage.

Languages

English, Kurdish and Arabic are required.
Any other language is an advantage.

In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards������(IPSAS)
