WRS Kurdistan are looking for Local candidates to work as Senior HR Officer for an International Oil and Gas company in Kurdistan.

Contract Type Permanent

Working Schedule 5 Days/ Week

Location Erbil – Office based with field trips when required.

Job Summary

The Senior HR Officer provides practical, timely support, advice and direction to company staff on the full life cycle of HR activities. Activities and support include; HR policy and procedures interpretation, legal regulations as well as provides support on employee relations, compensation and benefits practices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Consulting with Line managers to prepare job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process.
  • Onboarding and orientating new employees and training existing employees. (CoC any HR related policies).
  • Ensuring that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment. (Surveys, feedback, etc.).
  • Overseeing the health and safety of all employees (FTW, Sick leave follow up if needed).
  • Provide analysis on workforce localization, job level progressions, staff turnover, training & development, absence monitoring, recruitment progress, etc.
  • Providing counselling on policies and procedures.
  • Providing counselling on staff Motivation & Retention strategies.
  • Ensuring meticulous implementation of payroll and benefits administration.
  • Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.
  • Following up employees’ trainings and development.
  • Follow up and manage staff leave data base / system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MSc in Human Resources Management or similar.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years relevant Human Resources experience. (Familiarity with oil and gas recruitment process is a plus).
  • Strong communication skills, ability to read & write well in English as well as Kurdish/Arabic.
  • Good interpersonal skills – able to gain trust and respect of all staff.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to gather, analyses and summaries HR data.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize work requirements.
  • Knowledge of Iraq Labour Code is essential.
