As the premier supplier to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for a Senior HR Business Analyst to support an HCM modernisation project in a complex enterprise environment based on Workday.

This is a rolling contract running until March 31 2025 with potential to extend (sometimes up to five years) starting ASAP (no later than November).

The HR modernization programme has been in flight for a few years and still have a couple of years to run.

Joining a small and diverse team of HR experts, you would support preparing the HR unit for a transition to different processes and systems.

The upcoming phase will focus on the implementation of Advanced Compensation, Recruitment, Performance and Talent management Functional Areas. This will involve, amongst other things, identifying relevant HR data & processes and the improvements to be made. It will also cover creating and or updating procedures and overall coordination of the stream under the guidance of the Programme Manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery/Ongoing Implementation
  • Provide support to gather information and ensure recording of HR procedures, process and data flow in preparation of the transition to a new system
  • Make proposals to improve or streamline existing process and data flow. Gather insights from colleagues within HR regarding the optimum end to end data and process flow that would support best HR practices in the Bank
  • Lead the functional configuration of the Workday HCM across a wide range of modules
  • Troubleshoot production support issues as part of Hyper Care
  • Gather requirements, document designs, and evaluate options for change
  • Document business end to end process flows
  • Developing functional specifications for integrations
  • Support with data gathering, cleansing and preparation for the various phases (design, test, training, production preparedness / cut-over)
  • Participate and assist with ongoing Workday implementation, optimization, and adoption
  • Identify areas for improvement within the HR system and research system functionality/trends
  • Deploy new features and function in Workday and other technology
  • Support documentation of requirements, configuration, test plans and user acceptance criteria for feature, user story, and functional delivery
  • Support with the development of training content for the assigned functional area
  • HR Reporting and Analytics requirements
  • Partner with business functions in HR (Operations, Business Partners, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, etc.) to understand and document reporting and dashboard requirements for HR and stakeholders beyond HR (line managers, Finance, IT etc.)
  • Act as the intermediary translating HR Reporting requirements and other business reporting, analytics, and dashboards to the IT and vendor configuration teams
  • Post Implementation Support
  • Provide technical consultation to business partners and specialists to support their program vision
  • Improve HCM data quality, drive continuous improvements
  • Provide support for Workday, including researching and resolving complex Workday problems, unexpected results, or process issues.

As the ideal candidate you are a Senior HR Business Analyst with Workday experience and a strong interest in projects, HR Data, processes and systems able to work in a cross-functional team set-up. Our client looks for a versatile candidate, with strong interpersonal skills.

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience

  • At least 4 years’ experience working in as Business Analyst in HR, or HRIS department, ideally in a variety of roles (recruitment, talent, HRBP, operations…)
  • At least 4 years’ working with and implementing HR systems (HRIS, ATS, Talent Management systems) and managing sensitive HR processes and data (e.g Workday, PeopleSoft).
  • At least 4 years’ experience supporting the implementation of HR data management processes across the different client groups (line managers and staff)
  • Experience solving HR related data maintenance problems and providing change and project support for the roll out of HR solutions and HR data architecture initiatives.
  • Experience producing training content and delivering training for HR processes & supporting systems
  • Experience supporting the test phase, i.e., data preparation (for Unit, Functional, integration, User Acceptance Testing, etc.)
  • Fluency in English

Nice to have

  • Workday Pro – Certification
  • Experience configuring any of the following Workday Modules; Advanced Comp; Recruiting; Talent modules Performance)
  • Strong understanding of Workday report writing, Calculated fields, and analytics suite (People Analytics, Prism Analytics)
  • Strong understanding of Workday security
  • Broad familiarity with several HR systems, processes, and general knowledge of the principles of HR service delivery, HR legal, compliance and GDPR, Workday HCM Advanced solution administration.

Please note interviews would be conducted via video call (usually max two rounds), however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. Our client offers
