Job Overview/Summary

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the HR team as Senior Human Resources Associate, Global HQ for IRC Headquarters. In this role you will independently lead HR administrative activities in support of over 300+ IT team based in IRC HQ and around the world and collaborate with fellow HR team members to improve and streamline HR processes. Bringing a client-service approach, the Senior HR Associate will enhance the overall employee experience and help implement operational efficiencies for the team. The Senior HR Associate reports to the HR Director – Global HQ- IT and also work closely with the HR team.

Highlights of Your Key Responsibilities:

Provide frontline support including and not limited to:

  • Support HR Director and Global HR team in managing the full employee experience, from on-boarding to exit management, ensuring all processes are performed in a timely, efficient, and client-centered manner
  • Act as a first-line “go-to” for employee inquiries about IRC policies, resources and programs, independently resolving requests and advancing to HR Partners as needed
  • Support all administrative aspects of HR communications and reporting, helping to deliver key data insights for the function
  • Work with the HR team to ensure that all HR-related information including Benefits, Promotions, Annual Performance Reviews, Training & Development, and others are effectively cascaded throughout the organization, ensuring increased transparency for our team
  • Participate in the implementation of global HR initiatives, working with HR colleagues and clients to help identify and create streamlined and scalable process improvements across the function
  • Participate in special HR and administrative projects, including review and analysis of job descriptions, collecting and organizing survey data, conducting research, partnering to develop and scale the IRC Internship Program and other tasks that may arise in response to emergencies.
  • Provide active support in tracking and managing recruitment process in multiple locations and complex operating environments.
  • Ensure that HR data is collected, processed, analyzed and presented through different means for better decision making.
  • Provide backup support to global HQ HR team when needed.

Key Working Relationships

Position Reports to: HR Director – Global HQ-IT

Position works in collaboration with: HR Partners and HR colleagues in Recruitment, HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management and Operations; Finance; IT; and Legal. Provide HR administrative support to HQ IT team and leadership and coordinate with other regional HR colleagues.

Job Requirements

Work Experience & Education:

  • At least 2 years of experience in an HR support function or Client Service role with hands on knowledge of HR practices in US working environment.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Employee Relations is a plus
  • Experience in a large, matrixed organization and/or within a non-profit setting is a plus

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • In depth knowledge of HR concepts, or the ability to ramp quickly on new topics.
  • Demonstrated ability and fulfillment in operating with a client service approach, and building and fostering positive working relationships; highly resourceful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to run reports and use basic data outputs to tell a high-level story
  • Sensitive to and have strong understanding of DEI concepts and their impact on HR practices
  • Self-motivated, ability to plan, prioritize and problem solve independently
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in working in a constantly evolving environment
  • Ability and commitment to the highest ethical standards including maintaining confidentiality
  • Working knowledge and understanding of federal and multi-state employment laws; PHR or PHR/CA is a plus
  • Outstanding capabilities in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience in Workday and applicant tracking systems a plus
