LOOKING FOR SENIOR HOUSING SPECIALIST WITH A PASSION FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We are currently seeking a Senior Housing Specialist who has a passion for international development and humanitarian work to become a member of our growing and dynamic, global International Programs team.

This position will ideally be based in Washington D.C. though other remote locations may be considered

The duties of this position are important to the successful growth of Miyamoto’s International Programs team. Some of the central responsibilities of this position are:

Support to International Programs Team:

  • Manage a portfolio of global projects in the urban development and housing space.
  • Manage and coordinate activities of researchers, analysts, and consultants to ensure that deliverables are high quality and delivered on time.
  • Travel to project countries will be required with a maximum expected travel of 25%.
  • Provide research, writing, and analysis support to technical experts and project team. Potential topics include disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, humanitarian assistance, construction trends in emerging markets, affordable housing, urban development, etc.
  • Provide inputs to business development process, including identification of opportunities, coordination with partners, proposal writing and organization, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in international relations/development, international economics, business management, administration, or a related field.
  • Experience managing a team of experts.
  • Experience working with World Bank or other development institutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the urban development or housing sector.
  • Excellent communicator with strong writing and editing skills, professional fluency in English and French required.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Enthusiastic, detail-oriented self-starter and multi-tasker with excellent organization and planning skills, as well as the ability to be flexible and problem solve independently.
