Working with a leading US Plc who has a requirement for a Senior Group Accountant. The role will report to the Group Finance Director, working closely with the global operational finance teams. Key deliverables include the monthly consolidation as well as the support of the annual audit of the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the preparation of the Group’s US GAAP financial statements including monthly reporting of the income statement, balance sheet and cashflow to key stakeholders.
  • Review and prepare regulatory filings for the Group
  • Provide insight into the Group’s externally reported results and other financial information based on strong technical knowledge.
  • Manage relationships across a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that the Group’s objectives with regards to financial and regulatory reporting are met.
  • Make a key contribution towards the delivery of Group Finance projects, including in respect of the corporate activity, finance system developments and the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Take responsibility for a robust control environment, overseeing the design and operation of controls over reporting processes, review, and challenge of the out from finance operations.
  • Support the Financial Controller with the production of technical papers for the Finance Advisory Committee and Board.
  • Managing requests for ad hoc financial reports from across the Group
  • Working closely with the Group’s auditors to ensure a smooth audit process
  • Review of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity and appropriate understanding/analysis of business submissions and overall consolidated results.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (PQE 2+)
  • Strong technical accounting and consolidations knowledge, and high-level analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholder relationships and drive best practice
  • A commitment to building a highly controlled and efficient process-driven environment
  • A desire for better ways of doing things and proactively taking ownership to see things through
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Efficient and accurate delivery of reporting for a variety of stakeholders

Remuneration

Remuneration will include a strong base salary, plus bonus, pension and health.
