War Child has an exciting vacancy for a Senior Gaming Partnerships Manager which offers the opportunity to create, activate & manage key gaming partnerships, playing a critical role in raising funds and awareness of our cause within the video gaming industry and community. Your role

The Senior Gaming Partnerships Manager supports the day-to-day running of the Gaming Partnerships team, using initiative and drive to deliver partnerships with the video games industry and community.

Your key objective is to secure income to help War Child deliver quality programmes to an increased number of children in conflict zones, while ensuring the organisation has the flexible funding needed to maintain stability and growth.

As the daily lead for War Child’s approach to the Video Games industry, you will be uniquely placed to deliver a lasting impact on the War Child and the children we serve.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for maximising the value War Child receives from current or future gaming partnerships. Specifically, delivering Steam sales, steaming fundraisers and CSR partnerships with Games Publishers.
  • Responsible for outreach, cultivation and stewardship of War Child’s gaming partners, maintaining an up-to-date pipeline and ensuring smooth and consistent account management.
  • Take a leading role on the elements of the Gaming Partnerships Strategy and Budget in conjunction with the Head of Gaming Partnerships.
  • Responsible for marketing and promoting gaming activations to maximise audience engagement with support from Digital & Marketing Teams.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with contractors to ensure War Child to deliver top quality events and fundraising activities. This currently includes a PR agency and a design and marketing agency.
  • Shared responsibility in coaching other members of the team on commercial activations and supporting the Head of Gaming Partnerships on decision making as appropriate.
  • Use all tools available to ensure compliance including partnership agreements, client record management database (Salesforce) as well as GDPR and fundraising regulations.
  • Ensure all Gaming Partnerships adhere to our Shared Global Fundraising Policy and where necessary take steps to manage any risk with support from the Head of Gaming Partnerships.
  • Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to WCUK’s Safeguarding and PSEAH (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse & Harassment)Policies.

You are

  • An industry expert in the gaming sector, with experience in a similar or comparable role and the commensurate contacts to match.

  • A proven partnerships manager that can use innovation to leverage contacts and experience to deliver income-generating activations.

  • Understanding of digital marketing and familiar with gaming platforms & services.

  • Able to demonstrate success in achieving financial targets through account management, business development or sales.

  • An excellent verbal communicator, confident in managing relationships at all levels, externally and internally, as well as being able to influence and negotiate.

  • An excellent relationship manager able to take a personal approach to business relationships.

  • Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to develop new commercial ideas and translate into proposals that achieve results.

  • Able to demonstrate experience of project management.

  • Able to maintain accurate records with the help of a Client Record Management system.

  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of FR regulations / compliance and contracts.
