Sightsavers Ireland is looking for a Senior Fundraising Assistant – a vital role supporting our Individual Giving and Strategic Partnerships teams.

Salary: c€33,478 depending upon experience

Location: Dublin 1/ Hybrid / Home Working

Contract: 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: This is a full-time role with some flexibility around hours worked and home working

Sightsavers operates in more than 30 countries around the globe. Since its foundation, the organisation has performed 6.9 million cataract surgeries and has treated 1 billion people to prevent debilitating diseases. Sightsavers vision is a world in which no one is blind from avoidable causes and where visually impaired people participate equally in society.

About the role

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience and understanding of a range of fundraising methods and learn how to manage relationships between Sightsavers Ireland and its existing supporters as well as fostering relationships with prospective new donors.

We are looking for a Senior Fundraising Assistant to provide support across a range of campaigns and appeals. Key duties will include:

  • Coordinating strategic partnerships appeals and supporter care mailings with the relevant creative agencies, database teams and supporter care teams from briefing stage to fulfilment
  • Post handling and registering of incoming responses
  • Providing strong supporter care for donors through the thank you process and ensuring the accurate maintenance of records
  • Responding to inbound calls/emails from current and prospective corporate/major donors
  • Supporting the team with specific corporate engagement events and campaigns
  • Providing administrative and creative support to corporate engagement campaigns such as the World Sight Day Abseil and Bright for Sight
  • Identifying and researching prospective corporation organisations, major donors and trusts/ foundations.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of the Sightsavers Ireland database
