Job Purpose

ISF is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to take on the role of Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Officer (SFPO). The successful applicant will be a dynamic and committed individual with excellent fundraising, relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills.

Working closely with ISF’s Development Manager, the SFPO will support the development and management of our fundraising strategy, paying particular attention to building our supporter base and developing new partnerships. We are looking for a self-motivated and ambitious individual with a genuine passion for international development.

The SFPO will have a unique and exciting opportunity to help ISF grow and make a real and tangible impact to our beneficiaries. We are a small but passionate, friendly and close-knit team where staff are encouraged to execute creative and new ideas, working together to support each other’s efforts.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

· Work alongside the Development Manager to develop, implement and maintain a detailed fundraising plan to grow and supplement current revenue streams

· Implement and grow fundraising strategies across all areas, from events and campaigns, corporate partnerships, and individual and regular giving

· Seek funding and develop ideas for creative sponsorship and funding opportunities in line with our strategic ambitions, putting together proposals; identifying suitable partners; presenting proposals and closing deals

· Work alongside the Development and Local Fundraising Teams to oversee event-based fundraising activities

· Work alongside the Communications Coordinator to develop collateral for all fundraising activities and appeals

· Build relationships with new individual and corporate donors and maintain relationships with existing ones

· Manage ISF’s regular giving programmes and annual sponsorships

· Ensure effective and efficient implementation of all fundraising efforts

· Tracking donations and funding, creating budgets and financial reports

· Utilise Salesforce CRM database for donor management

· Proofing and editing communications and reports

· Supporting ISF Country Manager with document editing and Board Meeting preparation

Skills and Competence

Essential

· Minimum 3 years of experience in a donor-facing role including fundraising and partnership experience with international funders and corporate funders

· Formal qualification or training in International Development or a related field

· Advanced written and verbal communication skills, native English speaker

· A proven track record in developing and guiding successful fundraising strategies with a focus on diversifying income streams and donor portfolios

· Successful track record in writing high-quality funding proposals, applications and reports

· Flexible and dynamic, with an ability to adapt and respond quickly to a fast-changing environment and varied projects

· Confident presentation and networking skills, and the ability to write persuasive and engaging content

· Experience planning and organising fundraising events and campaigns

· Be self-motivated and solution-focused, comfortable meeting new people and be able to impress and motivate ISF’s current and potential donors and partners

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

· Excellent organisational and time management skills

Desirable

· CRM (Salesforce) experience

· Knowledge of budget and financial management

· Knowledge of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

· Remuneration $1,700 per month, depending on experience
