Petrofac is currently looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Halfaya, Iraq for a PMC services contract.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Technical Engineering & Quality Management/ Control guidance to EPC/ Construction Contractors to ensure construction work complies with applicable engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions
- Perform in-process inspections during all phases of all HV/LV equipment installation including OHTL, from receipt inspection till commissioning and hand over.
- Identify vendors required to assist with construction & commissioning phase and work with them during installation
- Check equipment deliveries to ensure they match the construction and commissioning sequence
- Quality checks on equipment during initial storage and after site installation to confirm that all required conservation is being performed
- Check all installed instruments are calibrated in line with Project specifications before pre-commissioning
- Perform final inspection of all equipment prior to hand over to Completions
- Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning and energization tests and punch list preparation
- Participation in Pre-start up Safety reviews for the Projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 8 years in relevant experience in Petrochemical or Oil & Gas design / project/construction in a similar position
- Exposure to OHTL projects is mandatory.
- Preferably working with an international PMC or EPC company
- Previous construction (field) engineering and inspection experience
- Adequate knowledge and practical applications, international specifications, codes and standards concerning to mechanical and piping
- Excellent English language communication skills in verbal and written briefs and skilled in report writing and compilation
- Work to the highest personal standards and achieve set objectives
- Proven experience with diverse and multi-cultural teams is essential
