Senior Director, International Communications

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is looking for a global communications professional to fill the role of Senior Director, International Communications. Directly managing a staff of six professionals, this position leads communications efforts related to Habitat’s international programs, engaging key stakeholder groups to bring both hearts and minds to the work of adequate, affordable housing. The Senior Director will oversee a team of 15+ that manages communications channels and initiatives outside the U.S. and Canada – from news media and regional social media channels to events and newsletters — while also collaborating with colleagues in the larger Global Communications division to gather and tell the stories of Habitat’s international program work. The leader of the International Communications team will help ensure a unified approach to Habitat communications activities in four regions (Africa; Asia-Pacific; Europe and the Middle East; and Latin America and the Caribbean), equipping an international network of employees and national organizations with the tools and training to advance marketing, fundraising, advocacy, and program strategies. The successful candidate will bring a depth of experience in global advocacy communications. The incumbent will help the Habitat network advocate for policy changes and establish the organization as a leading voice growing awareness of housing as a critical foundation upon which people can build a better, healthier, more financially stable life.
