Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience
- Experience with AWS
- Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC
- Unix OSs familiarity
- Reasonable scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.)
- CI/CD concepts and implementation knowledge. E.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, GitLab, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Agile methodologies and practices
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Spoken English and reasonable presentation skills, including the ability to work in cross-culture environments.
Nice to have:
- Familiar with IT infrastructure concepts
- Experience in Solutioning, Designing, and implementing applications/APIs
- Experience in one or more of the following development languages: Spring-Java, Go, NodeJS, .net
- Migration from Monolithic application development to micro-services
- Ability to lead and educate/train others
- Experience working with EMR/EHR applications is a plus
- Familiarity with common healthcare systems integration approaches: HL7, FHIR, DIRECT/HISP, EDI
- Familiarity with relational and non-SQL, Event-Driven Architectures/messaging, and process orchestration is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop platform solutions alongside other platform engineers, often through pairing, and platform product manager;
- Develop and implement cloud-based solutions and services for use by software development teams across the Client’s enterprise
- Collaborate with internal customers of the platform (eg. software development teams) to understand their needs, develop services that closely meet the customer needs, and support internal customers with onboarding and advice throughout their use of the platform
- Incorporate industry standards in software development and cloud infrastructure development and standard tools, eg. Test-Driven Development, Extreme Programming, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform or Cloud Formation, Agile, and Lean software practices, and User-Centered Design methodologies to execute on platform-as-a-product implementation and operations
- Committed to delivering high quality, high value, maintainable software in the hands of users quickly by working side-by-side with other software engineers, product managers, and platform customers
- Present ideas and technical content to an audience with a broad range of experience
