8×8 is looking for an experienced Corporate Paralegal & Legal Operations Manager to be an integral member of the legal team, working closely with all members of this team and being a key liaison to other functions across the company.

The ideal candidate possesses (1) the ability to work efficiently and independently with little or no supervision, (2) a strong sense of ownership and pride in their work product, with careful attention to details, (3) excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently, (4) the motivation to learn new skills while continuously improve existing processes, and (5) a sense of awareness and ability to establish positive working relationships with internal clients and external vendors. In addition, the candidate must have a team-oriented attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain global subsidiaries, including maintaining subsidiary database/platform, corporate records and filing calendar, completing domestic and international periodic filings, conducting subsidiary board meetings, managing corporate reorganization projects, and facilitating changes in organizational documents and subsidiary D&O slates (including notary and apostille requirements).
  • Assist with Board of Directors meetings and record keeping, including maintaining the minute book, and preparation of meeting materials.
  • Take a leadership role in supporting 8×8’s legal operations, policy management, legal intranet site and contract management programs.
  • Provide support for 8×8’s compliance and privacy programs.
  • General administrative support including scheduling, reserving conference rooms, copying, scanning, preparing documents for shipment/certified mail, and coordinating notary, apostilling and other matters.
  • Prepare correspondence, communications and reports to support legal function matters.
  • Handle special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • 8+ years corporate paralegal experience; mix of large law firm and in-house experience preferred.
  • Associates degree or higher; paralegal certification preferred; California public notary license a plus (or willingness to obtain public notary license).
  • Highly organized, responsible and able to exercise independent judgment to prioritize competing demands and complete work timely and professionally
  • Articulate and effective written and verbal communications, with a high level of professionalism in all interactions and correspondence.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership to complete tasks in areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and technology, willingness to ask questions and be resourceful to accomplish work objectives.
  • Proficient with Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Professional; prior experience with cloud-based subsidiary management platforms and/or CLM platforms a plus.

This position is located at 8×8’s Campbell, California headquarters with a flexible, hybrid remote-work schedule. Relocation will not be offered.
