We are looking to hire a Senior Corporate Counsel to join our LCR Americas team for the LEGO Group factory in Richmond, Virginia. Bring your legal experience and potential to help craft the future of the LEGO Group!Core Responsibilities
• Act as Corporate Counsel for the factory on all legal tasks and departmental administrative work.
• Provide legal advice to a wide variety of partners, on all issues related to the operation of the factory, including, but not limited to: employment law, labor law, contract law, construction law, customs compliance issues, real estate issues, security issues, confidentiality and privacy law, Stewardship and Compliance, and environmental law.
• Work closely with the Senior Corporate Counsel at the LEGO Monterrey factory in Mexico for onboarding, training, and knowledge sharing.
• Support the factory and business partners, as well as other Corporate Counsels in the company globally, with drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• Create and maintain standard contract templates and guidelines as part of a defined review cadence, in electronic company document management system.
• Support partners with follow-up advice and consultation regarding contract terms and negotiation strategy.
• Support partners in providing training to business on contract related issues.
• Provide support on any Operations activity in Americas region and global projects.
• Assist in the preparation of the factory’s Supervisory Board Meeting agenda and minutes approximately two times per year.
• Provide training or arrange for training to different business units at the factory on relevant legal issues, including but not limited to Data Privacy, Intellectual Property, Stewardship, Compliance and Ethics, company policies, as well as preparation for any government visits, audits or possible dawn raids.Play your part in our team succeeding
The main focus of LCR Americas is to:
• Drive and support all legal tasks in our region, like IP, compliance and corporate matters.
• Act as main point of contact for relevant legal issues, in accordance with our Mandate and Key Operating Principles.
• Occasionally participate in tasks and/or provide legal support within other regions.
