Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a critical leadership role in all of the firm’s work. EY-Parthenon has a very flat structure which will allow you to become actively involved in many levels of client work. You will often be the primary contact for clients, responsible for developing and executing work plans, and managing junior consultants. Given the demands of such an accelerated role, your skills as a consultant are highly tuned in the areas of analytics, communications, teamwork, and leadership. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting clients in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, setting climate goals, decarbonization measures, as well as climate change mitigation and adaptation plans in project teams directly with our clients
• Working in a variety of industries (e.g., life sciences, consumer products and retail, industrial products, etc.) and functional areas (e.g., finance, supply chain, HR, IT, legal, etc.)
• Dealing with a wide range of strategy and sustainability topics (e.g., developing sustainable products, services, and business models)
• Gathering and analyzing information and communicating recommendations to a member of the team or a client
• Working alongside the client on planning and executing any topics at the intersection of sustainability and strategy and in collaboration with the wider project team
• Supporting go-to-market activities by developing and implementing thought leadership/studies, building and maintaining customer relationships, as well as preparing trainings

What You Can Contribute – Skills For Shaping The Future

• Master’s degree in environmental science, business, environmental economics, sustainability, engineering, or related field with great academic achievements
• 2-5 years of professional experience in consulting, leading sustainability, innovation and/or consulting projects in industries
• Knowledge of SDGs, carbon foot printing, and other sustainability related concepts, as well as interest in continuous learning and development in these subjects
• High motivation and passion for sustainability, climate change, and decarbonization
• Strong record of leadership, sharp analytical thinking, and exceptional problem-solving skills in an academic, professional, or extracurricular setting
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and in at least one language among German, French, and Italian
• Strong team player mentality to proactively drive solutions within highly motivated and diverse teams across functions, countries, and regions

What We Look For

• Ability to work closely with large and complex remote teams and in a multi-country & -cultural environment
• A demonstrated capacity to take initiative, overcome challenges and work collaboratively through relevant work or project experience
• First work experience in sustainability consulting or other working experience in sustainability related departments in the industry
