Senior Compliance Coordinator, Asia Node (1876)

The Role:

The Senior Compliance Co-ordinator will be a member of the Node team and will provide proactive, efficient and effective compliance and risk management support to Country directors. As such, the compliance coordinator in the EA node will deliver training and capacity building to country teams to ensure regulatory compliance and compliance with all policies and procedures across all functions and will work closely with country directors, country staff and other staff in the nodes to review compliance and deliver on improvements. The Compliance coordinator will be a key ally of the country directors to ensure they have insight into areas of non-compliance and the necessary support to rectify and adhere to requirements.

The role is required to travel to country programmes to support the effective delivery of the role.

An ideal candidate for the role will also have:

  • Accreditation as an auditor, accountant, or legal counsel or substantial relevant professional experience.
  • Leadership experience of regulatory compliance across all business functional areas including their review and development of the success improvement plans.
  • Understanding of risk management.
  • Experience of working in countries across Asia
  • Numeracy and computer proficiency (MS Office packages).
  • Experience in delivering presentations and training/workshops.
  • Ability to travel often within region and occasionally to Oxfam in the UK
  • Excellent English language (oral and written).
  • Excellent knowledge of the legal frameworks
  • Good knowledge and experience of humanitarian and/or global development work.
  • Experience of working in programme in countries in Asia and/or at the regional level
