Senior Compensation Analyst

The Sr. Compensation Analyst is responsible for the management and administration of the compensation program for Home Office staff. The Sr. Compensation Analyst plans, designs, and develops compensation policies/procedures objectives to align with ACDI/VOCA’s goals and total compensation approach. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the organization’s programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Overseas the review, development and implementation of a total compensation strategy and philosophy that aligns with ACDI/VOCA’s values.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of compensation and classification policies, practices and regulations and recommends a compensation strategy that is cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and organizational objectives.
  • Identifies compensation deficiencies impacting the organization’s ability to attract, recruit, and or retain staff and recommends corrective actions inclusive of financial impact.
  • Partners with division heads to ensure that compensation practices are proactive, cost effect and responsive.
  • Overseas messaging/discussions with staff to promote clarity around our compensation programs. Provides advice to Home Office staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Leads new hire salary discussions with the human resources recruitment team. Conducts job evaluations, establishes starting salaries for newly hired and promoted staff.
  • Provides guidance in the creation, evaluation, and maintenance of the job description library, ensuring each job description is accurate, current, and compliant. Develops a plan for ongoing job description review to ensure that documentation remains up to date.
  • Participates in and analyzes the results of salary surveys to ensure that the compensation program remains internally equitable and competitive with external markets. Champions timely and robust data collection and analysis processes that support research and market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Conducts periodic review of internal salaries.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data. Creates analysis, reports, and dashboards to track compensation performance as well as other HR metrics, for example turnover, gender gaps, etc.
  • Keeps abreast of regulatory, market, and practice changes and trends and ensures that compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • ACDI/VOCA’s Compensation Committee, providing recommendations regarding market and compensation trends. Partners with the Director, HR on the annual performance review process. Prepares cost modeling for proposed salary increases and market adjustments. Leads discussions and reporting regarding pay equity, turnover, and other trends. Prepares end of year total compensation statements.
  • Upon request, may partner with the Sr. Director(s) of International HR and provide advice regarding international compensation programs.
  • Partners with Sr. Director Benefits and Wellness and Director HR to inform ACDI/VOCA’s total compensation approach.
  • Other duties as assigned.
