We are looking for a candidate who would actively contribute to assurance engagements targeting mostly non-financial risk management processes, namely:

  • Operational risk management processes (i.e., arising from people, processes, and the use of IT).
  • Processes and internal controls of the Finance department, such as accounting, financial reporting (statutory and regulatory) and management reporting.
  • Processes and internal controls of the Employee Experience department, such as payroll and the many benefits offered to employees.

Your Main Challenges

  • Maintain a relationship of trust with partners from other sectors.
  • In Agile mode, contribute to the completion of audit engagements with the assigned team of auditors and the partners from the 1st and 2nd lines of defense, while regularly reporting progress to auditor in-charge.
  • Contribute to the identification of the risks that could have a significant impact on the examined processes (effectiveness and optimization) and contribute to the establishment of the audit strategy, considering the use of data analytics as a tool to achieve audit objectives.
  • Analyze the problems encountered, identify the root causes in cooperation with relevant partners and support them in the identification of innovative and realistic solutions to eliminate the causes of the problem.
  • Present the results of the work carried out to the partner responsible for the processes examined, draft the recommendations and contribute to drafting the audit report.

** As part of its duties, the Lead Advisor may have to travel from time to time**

Qualifications

Competencies required:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to the industry and ten (10) years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree related to the industry and seven (7) years of relevant experience
  • CPA designations, an asset
  • Mastering Excel a requirement, and knowledgeable about analytics tools (ACL, Audit Exchange, IDEA, SAS or others) and visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, or other), a strong asset
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations and working on several files simultaneously
  • Demonstrated relational leadership and ability to ensure effective partnership with stakeholders as well as capacity to persuade partners
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to simplify and synthesize information
  • Agile, results-oriented, and able to work in a multidisciplinary team of experts
  • Able to solve problems and generate innovative solutions
  • Able to extract, organize and analyze data, to make a proper diagnosis out of it
  • Autonomous, accountable, collaborative, rigorous and proactive
  • Curious and strong learner
  • Knowledgeable about Office 365 Suite: Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, an asset
  • Bilingual (speaks / writes fluently) in French and English, essential
