Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting

What’s On Your Plate

• Preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for parent company
• Preparation of monthly journal entries to apply accounting standards
• Use Google Suite products and Microsoft Excel skills to produce reports
• Develop and document reporting processes and controls
• Prepare and review accounting reconciliations
• Coordinate collection of audit documentation for yearly audit
• Assist with implementation of financial systems and ERP
• Analyze new initiatives and accounting standards within the Skip context
• Other duties as required

Recipe for Success

• CPA Designation
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong financial reporting background with an intensive knowledge of IFRS
• Experience preparing financial position papers
• Strong computer skills with advanced working knowledge of Excel and ERP systems
• Ability to identify and improve processes to drive efficiencies
• Approachable with the ability to communicate cross-functionally within an evolving organization
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information effectively and professionally
• Must be able to prioritize work and have the ability to work independently as well as an effective member of the overall Finance team
• Demonstrated a high level of adaptability and works well under pressure
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate effectively and ability to meet quick deadlines
• Take initiative and identify issues with a solutions-oriented approach, a strong ability to overcome challenges, and high-level confidence in your decision-making ability
• Delivers reporting, analysis, and general accounting through collaborating with business leaders across the organization.
• Strong communicator, able to translate complex financial concepts in terms easily understood by stakeholders
