Job Description:

We are a tech-logistics STARTUP that is looking for an inspired, enthusiastic, and self-driven finance/accounting individual to run our finance department in the organization. The successful candidate will come with previous eCommerce, technology, or fundraising hacking experience ideally within a start-up or scaling business.

Job Summary:

Senior Accounting is ultimately responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the organization’s financial reporting in an e-Commerce start-up. The ideal candidate helps establish and direct the organization’s financial goals and objectives, its budget, and the Financial Plan. The candidate has primary responsibility for ensuring that internal controls are in place, enforced, and reviewed periodically for conformance to accounting and financial standards and applicable regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.

• Financial Modelling to aid the company through its series of fundraising

• Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.

• Reviews the budgeting and planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.

• Works with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.

• Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.

• Works with bank and VCs to raise additional capital required for expansion.

· Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks

· Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations

· Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)

· Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
