ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re searching for a skilled and experienced senior financial specialist to join us as a Senior Accountant HGB & IFRS (m/f/d) to help develop the Finance department to the next level.
As Senior Accountant for accounts receivable you will have both day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued customers.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsible for the current accounts receivable accounting to HGB & IFRS
- Handle the dunning process and clarification of open receivables
- Support in the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Support in the preparation of the annual financial statements according to HGB & IFRS
- Create deferrals as well as ongoing control of intercompany postings during the year
- Support the development of our accounting processes
- Act as technical support in interdepartmental projects for process optimization
- Support with special topics such as reporting, planning, and forecasting
- Carry out ad-hoc evaluations and analyses
- Ensure the application of current legal and accounting requirements
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS::
- 7+ years of experience in accounting with a focus on German GAAP and IFRS
- Experience in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German GAAP and IFRS
- Very good knowledge of German commercial and tax law, knowledge of ASC606 would be an advantage
- Proficient knowledge of DATEV and, if applicable, other applications (e.g. Salesforce) as well as the usual MS Office applications
- A CPA or ACCA license is a big advantage
- Very good communication skills in German and at least a good command of English are a must
